To Weed Or Not To Weed? The growing cannabis industry
Oct 04, 2019
If you listen to the news these days it's hard not to hear about some push for maijuana legislation. With 11 states already legalizing recreational marijuana and another 22 approving it for medical use, more states are sure to follow after November elections. Support is greatest among blue states; however recent national polls indicate 65 to 70% of U.S. citizens favor legalization. Currently, marijuana legislation occurs at the state level and is driven primarily by grass roots organizations, but if the 2020 presidential elections return a democrat to the White House, we may begin to see support for recreational use from the federal government. Whether one supports this growing trend or not, it's important for us to do our due diligence and research the facts about marijuana before blindly signing petitions to either support or block legislation.
Speaking of research, one of the more informative articles I've read recently is from California based Loudcloudhealth.com, a cannabis and CBD advocacy group. Expecting to read an entirely pro-cannabis viewpoint, I was surprised to discover an unbiased and informative infographic listing both the pros and cons of consumption. To check out the article, click here or visit LoudCloudHealth.com for their entire deck of blogs. Another great source for ongoing news and updates involving the cannabis industry is Newsweek online at https://www.newsweek.com/topic/cannabis.
